What are your hours? Are you open on holidays?
We are open 7 days a week, 364 days a year (every day except Christmas!). Our hours are:
- Monday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Tuesday – Thursday:12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Friday – Saturday: 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Sunday: 12 PM – 9 PM.
On holidays, hours typically reflect our Sunday hours, but we keep our customers informed on a per-holiday basis!
What does a SquareWine membership entail and how do I sign up?
If you would like to sign up for our FREE membership, just let one of our employees know at checkout.
SquareWine member benefits include:
- $10 Store Credit: Members earn points for their wine purchases. For every 20,000 points ($200) spent on wine, members will receive a $10 store credit that can be used on any product in the store, including liquor. Liquor purchases, however, do NOT count towards membership points.
- 15% Case Discount: If you buy a case of wine from us (12 bottles mix and match), you will receive a 15% discount.
- Free Delivery: Based on your location, if your purchase reaches our minimum for delivery, the delivery fee is waived.
- Up-to-date information: Our system will track what wines and spirits you purchase allowing us to pinpoint your favorite products and make suggestions that match your palette.
Free local delivery? How does that work?
We deliver Monday – Sunday and can accommodate most orders within one hour! Our delivery hours are:
- Monday – Saturday: 2 – 8 PM
- Sunday: 2 – 7 PM

Where is the option for Free Local Delivery?
The option will be present at checkout. If there is a fee attached to “Free Local Delivery”, it means you have not met our delivery minimum for your region. Any questions or problems can be dealt with by calling us at our store, 718-707-9911.
Shipping Regulations & Terms
We can ship WINE to the following states in the continental US:
- Washington D.C.
- New Mexico
- New York
- West Virginia
We currently do not ship internationally.
How do you calculate shipping?
Shipping prices are determined by standard FedEx rates. We do not profit off of shipping costs.
When will my order be shipped?
All orders processed by 8pm will be shipped the next day via FedEx. We do not ship over the weekend or on federal holidays.
In order to make sure your bottles do not sit in extreme weather conditions, we will hold your order until it can be safely delivered. This may include holding it over a weekend to ensure that your package will not sit in a warehouse for that time, as FedEx does not perform regular delivery on Saturdays or Sundays. If you are willing to risk the weather, we will ship your order at your own risk, but we will not assume responsibility for the condition of your products.
How will I receive my wine?
All orders will be appropriately packaged in reinforced, padded boxes. We will not ship in original external packaging (original wholesale delivery case).
All deliveries require an “Adult Signature.” A package containing alcohol must be signed for by persons 21 years of age or older. No delivery can be made to anyone under the age of 21. If no one of age is present for delivery, two additional attempts will be made to deliver the package. After this, the package will be sent back to us at which point we will notify you of the return. If you do not want the package resent, we will refund the cost of the order less shipping fees and a 10% restocking fee
Shipping during inclement weather
SquareWine & Spirits does not take responsibility for packages that are delivered damaged or unsatisfactory due to the weather conditions during shipping. Inclement and extreme weather conditions can damage your wine during hot or cold conditions. Should you have any concern about the weather conditions in your area, you may request a more specific shipping date. Choosing expedited shipping can help alleviate the issue of severe weather damaging your wine, but we do not guarantee it. You may call us at 718.707.9911 with any shipping concerns.
SquareWine & Spirits will replace any bottle of wine that is corked (flawed). We ask that the customer return the bottle, at least 50% of its unused contents, and the cork.
In order to receive a return or exchange you must be a SquareWine & Spirits member.
Defective items may be exchanged or refunded to the original form of payment. If you exchange an item for one of greater value, you will be asked to provide the retail price difference, along with any applicable taxes, at the time of the exchange. We do not issue store credit.
We will only accept bottles for exchange within 30 days of purchase. Items should be accompanied by your original sales receipt.
You may not return spirits once you have left the premises.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! Just ask a SquareWine employee and tell them what value you would like added to the card. Our gift cards do not have an expiration date and can be used on any item in our store.
Do you sell beer/tonic water/mixers/cigarettes?
The New York State Liquor Authority issues many different types of liquor licenses depending on what you will be selling and how it will be consumed. A retail wine and liquor shop in NY is only allowed to sell very specific products limited to what is defined as wine and spirits. Any alcoholic product that is considered a malt beverage (beer, wine coolers, etc.) is not permitted to be sold at a wine and liquor store. The separation of license types in our state keeps wine and spirits from being sold in grocery stores and, conversely, keeps mixers and cigarettes from being sold at a retail wine and liquor store
Can I order products that are not carried in the store?
We are always open to researching and ordering new products that our customers love. If you have a request for a specific product that we do not carry in store, let us know and, based on New York State distribution, we can special order most requests. The minimum on special orders is 12 bottles for wine, and 2 bottles for spirits.
Do you host wine tastings, events, or classes?
SquareWine hosts FREE wine and spirit tastings EVERY Thursday and Friday from 5-8pm. We also hold themed events and classes throughout the year featuring and fantastic wines and spirits. Ask about our new tasting room where you and your friends can have guided wine tastings or parties!
Can you supply my wedding/retirement/bachelor(ette) party?
Absolutely! Our knowledgeable staff, including a Sommelier and Certified Wine Specialist, would love to help make the process seamless from start to finish. We can assist in choosing wines and spirits for your event and even deliver them directly to you, if necessary. We also host off and on site events. Interested? Can we host our event in your store?
Yes. Our beautiful tasting room can accommodate approximately 20 seated and 35 standing. We can provide wine to drink, sparkling wine to toast with, and help pair any food you wish to provide and have served. Spirits are not permitted to be served in our tasting room.
